Sun, 12/11/2011 -- Arena Obstacle Practice at Victory Farms in Flower Mound. Some of the members had a gift exchange. Pumpkin bread and hot cider was enjoyed by all.
Sat, 11/12/2011 -- Susan Bodenmiller led a walk / trot trail ride on Rocky Point Trail.
Sat, 11/5/2011 -- We had a great turnout at our annual Fall BBQ! Thanks to all of you who came. Those that couldn't make it, we missed you! A big thanks goes to Howard and Lisa for allowing us to have the event at their home. Thanks to Robin Bird for manning the grill & to everyone who brought dishes to share. Thanks to Leslie O. for taking memberships during the party.
Sun, 10/16/2011 -- Linda Moore led a trail ride at Lake Ray Roberts. Riding roundtrip from Bluestem Grove trailhead at Isle Du Bois to Lantana Lodge, where tied up the horses while had lunch at the Buffalo Grill. The newly installed horse waterers sponsored by CTETA are at Isle Du Bois and Elm Fork.
Sat, 9/24/2011 -- Leslie Olsson led a group of 14 riders for a Windmill Plaque Dedication ride from Red Trail Windmill at LBJ Grasslands. Click on photo of plaque for larger picture.
Sat, 6/18/2011 -- Our first ever Cross Timbers Challenge, a full-fledged Competitive Trail Ride (CTR) held in conjunction with the TTC (Texas Trail Challenge) organization. Valley View Campground, LBJ Grasslands, Decatur. Big success for us!
Sat, 6/11/2011 -- Practice ride for the Cross Timbers Challenge, held at the same location but with a slower pace & with experts to demonstrate techniques & assist riders.
Sat-Sun, 5/14-5/15/2011--Trail Clinic with trainer Eddie Rodriguez at Lone Oak Retreat, Gainesville. Emphasis was on basic skills, plus tips for scoring well on common trail obstacles in Competitive Trail Rides (CTRs).
Sun, 4/17/2011--Alanna led a ride from Marshall Creek/Trophy Club Park on the west side of L. Grapevine. Check out Kristen's photos plus her GPS tracks showing where they rode (8.5 miles!) on the Yahoo Group.
